Productivity Maps

Productivity Maps can help you identify different productive zones within the field, based on satellite images at key dates.

It's a quick and cost-effective option  to methods such as generating soil maps based on grid soil sampling, or combining multiple years of yield monitors

The method

Through an automated and objective procedure, remote sensing imagery is selected in key dates, when crops are vigorous, and Vegetation Index (NDVI) maps are generated on those dates. These layers are then normalized, and integrated in the Productivity zone map. See more technical info...

Applications

By helping you to understand variability, Productivity maps can support different tasks:

  • Define your directed soil sampling strategy
  • Guide your field visits
  • Define management zones and create prescription maps for variable rate application
  • Set yield goals, determine trends, and target the use of seed, fertilizer, crop protection, irrigation, or guide drainage projects.
