By using our GSA Federal Supply Schedules (FSS) federal and state agencies along with other government organizations can have direct access to our services through this government-wide acquisition vehicle. Simple Task Orders (TOs) can be issued using our GSA FSS contract; while there are standard “best value” ordering procedures to follow, no FedBizOpps announcement or DCAA audit is required.
Contracting GeoAgro, Div. of TekConsultants, through GSA schedules offers use of our pre-approved, audited rates, which requires shorter lead times for contracting and lower administrative costs for the government. Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) can also be arranged under the GSA schedules for repetitive purchasing.
This certification is a result of TekConsultants' successful track record, and constitutes an additional tool for our clients to use TekConsultants’ innovative IT and GIS services. It will also support the development of joint ventures with Prime Contractors and other partner organizations.

SBA 8(a) and SDB Certification
As a certified 8(a) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) Firm, TekConsultants provides program managers a timely, straightforward, and efficient contracting process. When using the 8(a) contracting method, a program manager may simply select a firm as a suggested source and request that the procurement be pursued under the 8(a) program. The often lengthy, expensive, and tedious process of justifying source selection is thereby avoided.
The Small Business Administration’s 8(a) Program, named for a section of the Small Business Act, is a business development program created to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the American economy and access the federal procurement market.
The SBA 8(a) program is designed to benefit the client as well as the contractor by:
- Allowing small disadvantaged companies the ability to pursue sole-source procurements.
- Program Managers working for the Federal Government can avoid the often lengthy and tedious process of justifying source selection.
- Ensuring that the 8(a) company is stable and able to handle the workload - SBA does an extensive background check on the company prior to giving it an 8(a) designation.
- Because 8(a) companies may subcontract portions of the work to other firms, a perfect team can be assembled for a particular project.
